The Executive Diploma in International Trade Programmes was designed by 3T Impex Trade Academy in collaboration with the America Institute of Extended Studies as a professional qualification to recognize competence for international trade and finance practitioners. It will enable the students to demonstrate practical knowledge and understanding of complex issues relating to international trade products. It is ideal for people who are new to export, as well as experienced export companies because it will provide successful experts with a thorough grounding in the key areas of foreign trade.
The basic objective of this course is to provide to the African nations with a steady stream of competent men and women with the necessary knowledge, skills, and foundations for acquiring a wide range of rewarding careers into the rapidly expanding world of Import & Export Management. It is designed to provide all the knowledge, tools and techniques necessary to manage all the technical aspects related to foreign trade.

Export Diploma Prospectus

OBJECTIVE

1. To understand the nature of exporting and the difficulties that may arise.
2. To know different types of documents used in foreign trade, which documents are usually required by customs, the requirements for various documents and how to fill in these documents correctly.
3. To learn about the responsibilities of the exporter and importer under Incoterms 2010 and how Incoterms are used in international trade transactions.
4. To understand the role of the World Customs Organization and the World Trade Organization.
5. To understand the dynamics of export business finance options and structured trade finance.
6. To know the various methods of payments used in international trade and outlining their differences, advantages, and disadvantages both for the importer and the exporter.
7. To know what Documentary collections are and how they work.
8. To understand the importance of Documentary credits in international trade and how a Documentary credit works and the obligations of the parties involved.
9. To explore the various options of both pre and post-export finance.
10. To understand the fundamentals of international marketing and export markets entry strategies.

How long is the programme?

The programme has three modules to be completed with examinations within 6 months.

Who is issuing the certificate?

The certificate is issued by the American Institutes of Extended Studies (AIES).

Where are the lectures going to hold?

It is going to be holding at the 3T Impex Trade Centre in Surulere, Lagos.

What is the difference between EBM & ETF?

EBM covers how to start and develop export business while ETF covers how to structure and secure e xport business financing.

What are fees payable for the programme?

The fees are Application fee which is N10,000 and Tuition fee which is $1,050 per applicant.

Can tranche payment be allowed?

Yes, maximum of three tranches within 60 days after the commencement of the programme is allowed for the Tuition fees.

How do I know when I have been registered with AIES?

You will get an email from AIES to enable you to log in to their online student portal.

Can I communicate to the AIES directly?

Yes, through the email address provided via the student portals or from 3T Impex Trade Academy.

Why is the fees paid in USD?

This is because it is an offshore service being provided by AIES.

What does the Tuition fees cover?

It covers the manual, lectures, student portal, examination, and certificate.
